Google lens is an
app from Google based on AI-powered and deep machine learning. Google lens uses
your smartphone camera to detect and understand the object, offer actions such
as translation, scanning, shopping, and a lot more. Google lens was launched in
2017.

On the 7th of May 2020,
google lens upgrades with features like
copy text from paper to PC, read out loud, inline search, etc.
New google lens features:
- Copy text from paper to your
Laptop/PC:

This
feature already available for copy and paste text from paper to your smartphone. But now with the latest
update, Google adds new feature "copy to computer" which copies the
text to laptop/pc signed in device with chrome. But the condition is that the
handwritten notes should be written neatly and requires the latest version of
Chrome, which should be signed in with the same Google account.
- Readout loud:
Google lens already has the feature to translate words in 100+ languages, by pointing the camera at the text. now with the latest update, the new listen button to hear the word or phrase read out loud so that you can practice words or phrases that are difficult to say.
- In-line Search

In
book or newspaper, if you don't understand any word or phrase, with in-line
google search results you can select a complex phrase or word to quickly learn
more.
All
these features are rolling out from On 7th of May 2020, except for Listen which
will be available soon on android as well as iOS.
